See what an ATS reads from your resume

How to read the result

The text above is what your resume becomes once the formatting is gone. Read it the way a parser does, with no idea what the layout was meant to convey.

• Is anything missing? Text inside a header, a footer, a text box or an image does not always survive. If your phone number lives in the header, look for it above. If it is not there, it is not in the application either.
• Is the order right? A two-column layout can interleave, so a job title from the left column lands between two skills from the right. If the reading order is scrambled here, the parser scrambled it.
• Are your dates intact? Date ranges typeset with an en dash or a special character sometimes come through as something else, which is enough to make a role look undated.
• Did your section headings survive? A parser classifies sections by their headings. If EXPERIENCE came through as a run of separated letters, the section under it is harder to place.

What this does not tell you

This page shows extraction, not evaluation. It does not tell you whether the words that survived are the right ones for the role, which terms a recruiter is filtering on and you have not used, or which lines are costing you. Extraction is the floor, not the ceiling: a resume can parse perfectly and still say nothing worth reading.

A clean parse means the machine can read your resume. It says nothing about whether a person will want to.

Why the file is not kept

Your resume is read in memory, the text is returned to your browser, and the uploaded file is deleted. There is no account, no database row, and nothing to delete later because nothing was stored. The same is true of the paid analysis. See the privacy policy for the detail.
